"Only one or two tracks retained the original Iggy mix (Gimme Danger and the title track, I think)" I thought the only one that kept the original Iggy mix was Search and Destroy... Well I remember Bowie saying that he kept the original for that one, but you may be right that one other track may have retained it too

the fire and excitement is here, but the songwriting is not that special, imo. 1969 and I Wanna Be Your Dog are the only classics from here, while No Fun is another very good rocker. But the rest? Little Doll is a rewrite of 1969, both in the melody and rhythm department, while Not Right resembles a lot the riff of I Wanna Be Your Man. Real Cool Time is another fine tune and, as the majority of tunes here, is boosted thanks to the playing and vibes.
For these songs alone the album would be a 3.5, but We Will Fall and Anna both blow hard. HARD, i tell you. The first is a snooze-inducing drone for almost 10 minutes, while the second a so-so, averagely written ballad. Not my cup of tea, thanks a lot. And these are, like, almost 14 minutes out of the album's full 34.

Mental to think Brendan Fraser went on to star in California Man after doing the photo shoot for this album cover.

The soloing at the end of No Fun and particularly I Wanna Be Your Dog is EXACTLY the same as Josh Homme's soloing (tone, style, everythang) on the first Queens album. Anyone else get that?

Great album but having 'We Will Fall' placed right smack dab at the beginning of the album is a little inappropriate. Would sound much better if it were placed towards the end of the album or even as the final track.
