i generally don't care for hip hop but damn this shit is tasty

Oh shit this knocks
Some of the lyrics are a tad heavy handed but his flow is pretty tight and the beats all sound so incredible that its hard to even care

Who trades his culture for dollars?
The fool or the scholar?
Griot? Poet? Or White collared?
|

always spent more time with Griots but the two of them makes for a good idea for some stuff to revisit and throw on later

back at my old job people would take turns playing music through the warehouse speaker system, and it was usually hip-hop, so i put on this, since it was the closest thing i could think of
good times, nobody bitched, even wrote a recsheet for noise and weird electronic music in the breakroom and heard experimental speedcore blasting through my 40-something coworker's headphones the next day

Lol nice
Ngl I never imagined this to be terribly approachable music unless you're already a bit invested in the dark underbelly of music whether it be hip hop/metal/industrial but it's always nice when you can turn people to stuff that's hard to uncover otherwise
