yeah I was surprised actually, I'm usually a snob (192 minimum) but I honestly didn't notice. It sounds pretty good.
I mean it's the best fucking album so a 30 kbps difference isn't gonna stop me from jamming errrday.

Eh, if you want good quality just buy it. You really shouldn't be moaning about the quality of something you pulled off the internet for free.
Good review my man, seems like I need this.

"You really shouldn't be moaning about the quality of something you pulled off the internet for free. "
yeah agreed. I mean they were just saying they weren't gonna bother with a certain leak cause of low quality. I don't care, and I'm gonna buy the vinyl so whatevs.
also, thanks. not sure you'd like this but give it a go anyway. the lyrics are so great but it takes repeated listens to fall in love with them I would say.

I've fallen in love with Hop Along over the last three months and the first song I checked on Youtube reminded me of that, so I'll probably dig it.
@ Klap: yeah, but lots of those "FLACs" could have just been transcoded from an mp3 so there goes your quality. And 99% of the people can't hear the difference between a FLAC and a 192VBR mp3, so there.

well yeah but thats why you get them from private sites that have rules against that. i dont listen to FLAC personally lol 320 all day

I go with v0 if it's available, but 320 is ok. I have lots of storage so I'm not that concerned.
Kris - no, I never hated you (even though I probably said I did). you're just really annoying and you always really obviously suck up to certain people. you're better now though and we probably all do that so whatever. Give this at least a 4 and we're all good ;)
clerc - word, if you like Hop Along, I would say you'd like this. I mean they aren't THAT similar (not doing the whole "ooooh the both have tits!!! = the same!!!"), but they've got the same sort of aesthetics in their music, and lyrically they're quite similar too. I put one of their earlier EPs in the rec'd section.
also, lol this almost has the same number of votes as the first one already. I hope people end up checking it out if they liked this one enough....

see what I love about Frances Quinlann's lyrics is exactly that: they feel nervously thrown together and unsure of themselves, the sort of lyrics I'd write if I ever did. Crutchfield's are super good but they're so different (than Quinlann's) and they take forever to realize how god damn brilliant they are. Both amazing lyricists imo, I couldn't choose one over the other.

Use Adobe Audition or some other spectral analysis program if you've downloaded a dodgy FLAC.

yesssss, that's not the reaction most people have. Usually her records are growers for most people. This one is definitely more immediately rewarding than American Weekend though. "Coast to Coast" is basically a radio single.
