Nah, I like to be vague and mysterious. Although, sometimes people are just asking for it. Then its kinda funny.

Yeah, it is. Religion is a hot topic, full of righteousness, sins, burning, damnation and hilarious lines like this:

Even though Jesus never said a single word about homosexuality it's a sin!!!!

@neospaz yeah it's the default. I'm not quite sure how. People were talking about coding errors, which probably makes more sense. Or maybe they just wanted to get another silverstein thread going lol

Well written, and understand your point entirely. Silverstein is stuck making the same sound. Personally, I have enjoyed it for what it is. I would get rid of the pop-core comment, it is pompous and goes against the spirit of the site.

I don't like the sound of pop-core either, but I don't think it sounds pompous. It's no different than easy-core, which I also think sounds stupid. It is a somewhat accurate description of what they sound like though. It's a catchy and accessible post hardcore sound with some pop and rock thrown in.

Rock-Hardpop maybe? Or Post-Rockpop? How about we just call it Rockity-Poppity Post-Hardcore?

I also agree with you on them being somewhat stuck in a rut. I feel like the have been retreading this sound since Shipwreck. I do find the twist they did on a concept album pretty fascinating and that gave it some extra points for me.

Their debut was decent (showed some potential), while Waterfront was excellent and showed a side of them they haven't really shown since. A&D was on the meh side as they were trying for a more accessible sound that they didn't really figure out until Shipwreck came along (which was also pretty awesome). Now they have just been kind of stuck in that mindset since.

Just my little opinion on the band's progression so far (haven't listened to Short Songs, which is why it's MIA in this thought).
