new one has a couple of duds but it's pretty consistent and panopticon is one of my favorite songs this year

i/o is a bit more streamlined than i usually dig out of him but its definitely solid. only had time to jam the light mix tho maybe the other version will go down differently

This and Melt are tied for my favorite PG album, not sure which one I'd put on top

this grows more on me with age. I used to dislike it so much. Security used to be one of my favorites, I should give that another listen too.

This one still has a lot of that Lamb DNA in it, especially in the opener. So it's a nice bridge between 70s Genesis and PG's later releases

I completely agree. This is a perfect bridge between the 70's Genesis' music and his future music.

Such an inconsistent album, like damn the high are classic status, while the low are just either annoying or downright bad
I began yesterday the discog run from PG and so many good albums but this one perplexed me

while i do think this is musically all over the place and half the songs sound like they come from different albums, i think he nails everything he goes for here
definitely definitely get not vibing with excuse me at first tho lmaoo

@MinusLight I think I had this at a 2 when I first started spinning PG regularly, so it has a lot of growing potential. Even Excuse Me came around after a while (like onionbubs imma assume hard that's one of the "downright bad" ones you're talking about ha)

a lot of the songs i was a bit more polarized by at first are huge pg highlights for me. moribund was a bit of a "what the fuck is this" moment for me since it bends key like its made of clay lol, but it does that so seamlessly and excitingly. one of my fav songs of his now
think part of it too was the whiplash of solsbury hill right after lmao. instantly a goated song tho
