The first three tracks are absolutely brilliantly but for me it stagnates a little from that point. Musicianship here though is pretty damn solid for the most part.

It got me through some pretty bleak times.

This was solid, Frost on her Pillow is very good gothic metal.

As someone who spent a major part of his early and mid-teens listening to CoF (it was the first band with extreme vocals my young and naive past self has encountered) I stil haven't find a way to appreciate this album or differentiate it from the past two efforts. Starting with Godspeed I feel like Cradle have been churning out the same record pretty much over and over again, with short memorable moments here and there.

I lost track of Cradle of Filth after Darkly, Darkly. I've always considered them one of my favorite bands, but somehow I grew tired of the downward spiral they were on. So today I heard this one for the first time and I gotta say that it's not doing anything for me. I find it striving between average and good...

Yeah it's decent. Newest album is easily best post-Midian though.

Looking forward to hear it, though first I have to make up my mind with the rating of this one, hahaha. I think I need to give it more spins.

This is in the 2.5 or 3 range for sure.

Agreed, so far this one feels like Cradle's worst for me...

Can't speak for this album except singles, but next one is very good.

This is beginning to grow a little bit on me, maybe not enough to bump it to a 3.5, but enough to feel sure with my 3.0 rating. This has some really interesting tracks The Abhorrent being one of them.
