Mouth Like A Magazine vid is so jokes. It's like the blood brothers trying to act like a post-punk rev band it's amazing.

German, welcome to sputnik, where everyone hates at least one of the bands you like; at least one user hates all the bands you like; and everyone's got an opinion.

Like me, for instance. I can't stand WCKI? or Age of Reptiles, and I can only barely get through Anorexia. So yes, I wanted a No Sir 2. (Then, of course, I actually gave Cancer a chance, and liked it.)

Nope, but when they go a bit spiritual it sticks out like a sore thumb compared to their more middle ground lyrics.

This is really awesome! I don't know how I've gone this long without hearing of these dudes. Definitely stoked to get into their discography

GermanSchools, showbread gets a lot of hate from this site in particular because their writing philosophy is so against the grain from what's considered good right now. for example, a showbread album will never stand against a titus andronicus record in places like sputnik, and i can honestly see why. i love titus andronicus, by the way. showbread's appeal lies in their way of doing things, not necessarily their music, hence their "no music" logo. fans like andcas and myself understand it because we've invested so much time into the rest of the showbread world outside of their music.

MY SOUL IS CHEAP

LAY ON TOP OF ME

that song rules hard.

and ya jacob each album is drastically different, so i'd say chronological order is as good an order as any.

Great review. it's crazy how long these guys have been around. I started listening to them since Nihilism. but didn't make it too far. I left off on Reptiles. I totally respect their distance and am enjoying some of their new tracks. It's cool to see that even after all this time they still have a hefty fan base. good for them.
