This album is awesome, you can't expect a band to keep putting out the same shit over and over again. It's called growing up.

Comments like that are what really annoys me with music fans. It's not that he wasn't the same shit, he wants good things with them changing their style. Not everything works out for the better.

It's amazing how mediocre this album is coming off on this website when nearly every other website on the internet that has reviewed this has been met with critical acclaim. This and Elijah are the two best albums of the year. Album is sooo good.

Only heard their first album and it really showed how capable they are at making lackluster songs.

did you read any of my review. I said that them progressing was a good thing and what made B&C fantastic, but here they regressed. Making something worse than before is a bad thing

I really enjoyed this but I'm somewhat of a DSHS fanboy. Also the Elijah's album for me was a bigger
disappointment, the integration between the samples and the rest of the music was completely off in
regards to their previous EP.
Ed's overusage of clean vocals however I think is a pretty valid criticism on this album, especially
when his harsh vocals sound better than ever on XIII.

I was thinking the same about NRNR. I preferred his cleans on B&C, where he had less of them, ironically

The Elijah made a good one, this however, not so much.

I don't get most of the complaints around here. It's like you guys decided this band had some enormous GOAT potential and just because this album didn't reach your ridiculous expectations, it's an average album. Maybe LeBron James didn't become the best basketball player he could possibly be, but he still became the best in the NBA and that needs to be recognized.
A 2.5 is absurd, the album is not average.
As far as cleans go, my favorite songs on the album 'Crusader' and 'It Rains Down' heavily feature cleans, so I guess I enjoy them.
