Pretty good review, but I politely disagree. I think this album blows "Youngbloods" out of the water, especially in terms of inspiration. While the genre TAA uses is by no means original, they execute it in a way that conveys the heartbreak and angst exhibited in the lyrics. I felt like "Youngbloods" was good, but based mostly on vocals, and lyrically was good but not as relatable as this one, as it focuses on the apparent suicide of a close friend. The instrumental section is tighter and heavier and the vocals have improved vastly, but both are balanced.



I feel like The Amity Affliction accomplishes what groups like Asking Alexandria or Attack Attack! or We Came As Romans should have.
