This is definitely my AOTY, and the only album in the same realm that could possibly match this is Neurosis' Honor Found in Decay. Other albums just seem so insignificant. I get off to albums that place me in other worlds...especially those that are hard to understand and unsettling. Not to mention that The Seer is exactly what I've wanted from the band ever since hearing Swans Are Dead. Those post-rockish tracks (ex. Feel Happiness and Blood Promise) were both terrifying and cathartic.

I meant every word...as a LONG time Swans fan. CHYLL. I am a unwavering fan of this kind of
music...it's not for everybody, so hate and/or indifference is very understandable. I am one for
groove and a powerful rhythm section, and this brings a hell of a lot of it, with all the eerie sounds
within and around it to create an atmosphere and a world in my mind. (that was a reply to Hyperion
because I have yet to distinguish him as a troll-character)
