"The band has vastly improved the cohesiveness of their music. The album is noticeably shorter than their previous records, giving a very tight and consistent feel. Because of this, a lot of the fat has been trimmed to ensure a much more deliberate sound. Rather than have a glut of uninspired chugging, the album has been crafted so that every moment feels necessary and important."
That's pretty much explains everything I had in mind about the album, in a way I couldn't have said it.
This is a 3.5, but for some reason, I love it more than a 3.5 XD.

Who really wants any chugging guitar in Prog/Death Metal!!!!
They should outlaw all that chugging.
What Metal needs is more swishy guitar, something shimmery, like a John Mayer type thing.
Chugging, grinding grooving, all so un-metal.

They are a top talent. Mario is a beast. They write great angular "chugging" stomping grooving awesome metal.
Anyhow, i look forward to this when it is released so i can hear what it sounds like other than some 192K DL.

good review, i felt this band was pretty consistently over rated also, but am enjoying this album so
far.
speaking of over rated bands, i think i'm gonna go check them out with dethklok and LOG when they come
through KC. should be fun.

I like them both, but I can definitely see why "My Last Creation" didn't make the cut. "This
Emptiness" should have though. I guess you gotta save somethin' for the special edition =)
PS: The opening to "My Last Creation" is extremely similar to the opening of "The Window" by the
