When I say that I'm saying that Loma are vastly superior in every way, comparison was the wrong word.

hours was better than everything loma did until this came out but this is of a ridiculous quality that i wasn't expecting to hear from this band at all.

david fung trumps all

nah i thought that but now listening to last city it has nowhere near the power or the heavy atmosphere this is bringing. the constant back and forth between loud/soft on last city becomes tiresome for me and i just listen for the awesome moments like trilogy 1 or bridges or david fung. this album sounds like what it feels like to be lost in san francisco at night.

i love that fly by night is like a microcosm for the whole album, with a fucking intense first half and a decidedly melodic ending. just effective flow throughout the entire run-time.
