I like you Mac, but complaining about someone's opinions and calling them biased just because they didn't like your work is ridiculous. They're just as biased as someone who does like your work. Really, the thing that bothers me is that your "fuck pitchfork" attitude is real and you dont take written negative criticism well at all.

"Fuck Redtampon"

If that was really Mac Lethal then damn that's sad. Plus, adding "BabyLaxative" to your name seems pretty unusual for a genuine account.

Maniac, I think the reason Mac hates Pitchfork so much is they called him "The Paul Wall of Rhymesayers." Just imagine if you formed a Botch influenced metalcore band and had been completely independent for years and scraping by, you finally get a contract with a more prominent label, a major publication that has alot of weight reviews your album, and they call you the M Shadows of your label.

I appreciate this review. It's genuine and feels like it was written by a person who compassionately cares for me as a human. I do not agree with some of it though. Songs like "Quarter Life" were hard for me to release because of how genuinely personal they are. I wrote it during a VERY trying time.

I don't really think I sound happy on this album. I think I sound abandoned and back-stabbed by people I care for. Fed up. Delusional And trying very hard not to completely lose it. That's how I felt while writing it, lol.

^ Thanks for taking the time Mac. What I meant about Quarter Life is it is clearly one of your "tortured songs," I guess I just felt that way because normally those are your best work, and I like most of the songs on this better than that one. Also, Woooo!!!!, Happy to Be Living, Jake + Olive, and Old Rasputin just sound to me like you might be content with your life. Ive heard most of your discography and that thought has never struck me before.

I get the pitchfork hate, because its pitchfork, but he's carrying it over to this site. This site is just fans of music writing reviews for the fun of it - staff included. I honestly respect him for some of the things he's done, but there's no reason to come in here being a bitch to someone just because he didn't like your music. News Flash: I loved OG11:11 and LP4, and I think most of NKBBQ is garbage. There are opinions here and he wasn't being rude about them.

It is my fault, however, for not clarifying my pitchfork statement to begin with. It was like 4am and I was barely functioning.

^ I think he is probably a person that takes everything to heart, in a big way. OG:11 wouldnt be half as good as it is if he wasn't. But I get what you're saying.

The thing is, as much as I like Mac, I wouldn't defend any other musician with that excuse. If Aesop Rock, for example, came in here bitching about one person's perception of him, I'd lose a little respect for him. I just don't see why he made such a big deal out of it.
