I want this album so much. I love about half the tracks and haven't heard the other half but I can't find it anywhere : ((((

This album tries to do too much at once. It's still good (though I am not a huge fan of the vocals) but it's kind of overly manic.

Death and the Healing is amazing, though, and so is Sleeping Stars. Battle against Time is neat as well.

Very melodic. The guitarist is insanely good.

This album is so great I want to crap my pants. In my opinion, to compare Wintersun with bands like CoB or Norther would be an insult. The emotion in the singing and lyrics, the layered vocals, the giant blend of guitar leads, riffs, everything just comes together to perfectly.

One of my top 10 favorite albums evah

My friend has this so I've heard one or two tracks, and I liked what I heard. I'll probably get this sometime.

Nice review!

I read a review for this somewhere that said this album suffers from an identity crisis, basically saying that there's too many different elements of too many different types of metal and that it hurts the overall cohesion and continuity of the album O_o

Raise your hand if you think that's the biggest load of crap you've ever heard...

...and feel that it's exactly that daring fusion of multiple elements that helps this album stand above so many others

LOL oh you guys .^^^ That 4 from me was there after just one complete listen. It will likely go up. Moonsorrow did the same thing to me recently.

Anybody know when the new album is coming??? I've heard "2008", that's wondrously vague. If this was their first round, number 2 is gonna be the TKO.

Since I'm here, I wanna say that Beautiful Death is my fav track, just has everything in all the right places (for me ). Starchild is a close second. This Message Edited On 01.09.08

Jari keeps delaying the new album because booking studio time for him has been a real pain, I believe.

And his songs are incredibly involved and epic this time around. I think the website said each song is averaging something like 250 takes...m/

250 tracks I think...It makes sense if hes arranging each instrument of an orchestra as a different track. He did say he was trying to arrange the synths in a fancier way.
