I've heard a few tracks of hers. She's really not my thing.
Check out the new album of Annie Clark, aka St. Vincent.

I realize this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I'm honestly surprised more of Sputnik doesn't fawn over her like Jeff and myself. She seems to be kind of a musician's musician. Not everyone's going to pick up on the subtleties and intricacies of this album. I particularly like the way some of her vocal deliveries go rhythmically against what she's playing on guitar.

k, skimming that St. vincent album atm and it's not my cup of tea, plus her voice
reminds me too much the one found in prog act Paatos (not a good thing). Verdict so far;
Laura Marling >>> St. Vincent.

Great review here Angel, listening now on Spotify. Its pretty good, she sounds much older than she is, in a good way. Rich voice.

Yeah, it really exceeded my already high expectations. Sits as one of top three albums of the year.

More like a 3.5 for me, near from a 4 though. A blend of outstanding songs and so-so others. I'm not a big fan of the so to speak country/western indie pop ones. The ones too deep in it at least.

Don't know how anyone can bag on the first half. "Don't Ask Me Why" and "Salinas" are incredible.
