Tephra isn't that original either. Haven't heard enough of General Lee.

classification is there because the music is similar to post-metal bands you dumbshit. so isis
shouldn't be classified in the same level as cult of luna because it's wrong?
musically broken down it's simple. the slight differences is like if I made the colour red slightly
darker. it's still fucking red.
and why would I compare Cult of Luna to Tephra and General Lee when they're not even good or
interesting in the least.

Except it's not that simple.
"and why would I compare Cult of Luna to Tephra and General Lee when they're not even good or interesting in the least."
"interesting"
That's my point. These can be described as generic bands. Rosetta has too many nuances and is too much style blending to be described as generic.

Good review buddy, hated this the first time I heard it, I can dig it now.

those "nuance" are just layered tracks. the guitars are not special because your average guitar
center/sam ash employee with guitar knowledge can do this shit with pedals. and your style blending
point can be applied to slipknot then since they combined rap, metal, turntables, death metal riffs,
and heavy percussion. I guess they're not generic.

The album's quite good from what I've heard.

I've tried all these post metal bands and it turns out that I'm just not much of a post metal fan. I like some Neurosis, the new Isis and At the Soundawn but that's about it. I couldn't get into this.

Did you try Cult of Luna?

Neurosis is the best post-metal band. Period. Given that I'm not very fond of the genre either.

Nope. Album?

Salvation and Somewhere Along the Highway
I'm guessing that would be all you'd enjoy from them

@ relinquished No, they're not generic. That doesn't mean their music is not shit though. But that's just like, my opinion, man.
Not generic =/= good as is generic =/= bad. Some styles just don't go well mixed together.
Anyhow, this is going nowhere. Imma play some vidya instead of debating for nothing.

I'll get on it.

"in the vast nebulae and multi-colored gaseous clouds of wonder"
sciencefag here, just pointing out that this makes no sense. those colors are artificially enhanced to be visible and beautiful, most colors in gaseous clouds or nebulae are either outside the visible spectrum of light of the human eye, or too dim for us to see without enhancement. sorry to burst your bubble but space is entirely dead and black to a human"
good to know, thanks

I'm with you, Apollo. Just because Nasa doctors their photos doesn't mean a good light-speed jaunt while on acid couldn't produce something similar. Fuck science -- am I right or am I right Christians and Catholics?
