I'm kinda off Weezer, but still like this and Pinkerton, and those are probably the only weezer album that I will like.

Im really liking In The Garage as of late.

I think this album is the only one to start off strong... then finish even stronger. Only in dreams never gets old, and its a great song. I'd give the album a 5/5 too.

Great album, often forgotten by critics, much like Weezer as a whole often forgotten. From My Name Is Jonas you can hear this is going to be a great album, and of course buddy Holly, Say It Ain't So and everything else this album kicks for fans of guitar, great lyrics, general fun and general drug taking, IT"S AWESUM

...and there was Weezer.

and the Foo Fighters, Collective Soul, Everclear... Weezer wasn't the only post-grunge band. there were plenty

I really don't get how this album could be a 5/5. Catchy, fun, decent music, and a fairly solid album, but it's not that special to me.

Only In Dreams is probably the best track on here.

Only in Dreams is just so beautifully epic, shame they never play it live. I will always remain musically in love with the Weez =w=.

Weezer is one of those bands that I half like, but at the same time I really can't stand listening to them. If I'm not in the right mood Weezer can be some of the worst music I've ever heard in my life, but at other times it feels very soothing.

Where's the Say it Ain't So love? That's easily the best song on the CD, My Name is Jonas is the only song that can even give it competion.

It's Only in Dreams for me. That song is a perfect closer for the album. It's so mellow, yet with a hint of crazy, and some silly lyrics. It truly sums up the album.

Very nice review, though I'd like to add/clear up some things. "My Name is Jonas" is a song about River's actual family and a crisis they once had. Second, In "Undone" the ones talking at the beginning are Karl Koch doing all of the "yeah"'s and Matt Sharp as the party dude, and Carli Allan as the girl. Also on "Surf Wax America", Sharp does the falsetto, as he does for all pre-Green Album songs. I like the Pixies influence remark, I think its something no one ever really realizes about the song. OID is the best!

Amazing review. I fucking love this album, but I still like Pinkerton a bit more. Both are solid 5's for me though.
