I like about 1/3 of a lot of Neck Deep songs. They come up with some cool ideas but don't seem to have very many of them and also have a lot of bad ideas. Like the Serpents untro vocal melody is pretty good but the instrumentation and lyrics otherwise are pretty bad IMO.

Yeah I dunno, when they first starting getting big they just came across as a UK version of The Story So Far for me. I've never listened to anything past their first 2 EP's though. Don't really have a strong opinion on them either way.

Yeah they're OK. Only band that ever did the "pop-punk with a hardcore edge" right in my mind was Set Your Goals. I actually think that they inspired (partly) all these new pop-punk bands like TSSF, Knuckle Puck, etc.
