As many of us, Space Oddity was the album that got me into Bowie. It's also one of my first vinyl records. Despite the production it's an amazing working and the title track is such amazing too. A real underrated album that deserves more attention.

Letter to Hermione is honestly my favorite here, so soulful and sad.

but similar.

yeah, Unwashed is a real good folk rock tune. I like Freecloud, but the alternate version with cello is better.

Freecloud is my least favorite honestly. It shares the same level of lameness a lot of his debut had.

My newest son show me right now the personal homage to Bowie of the keyboardist of Dream Theater, Jordan Rudess. His homage was made with Space Oddity. It's very beautiful and touching to listen to the music only played in the classical piano. I'm going to put here the link of it.

Enjoy it.

Space Oddity is a classic but many overlook the rest of the album. Personally I think the psychedelic/folk rock angle is executed much better than the first album. The whole record is so calm and nice, it's hard not to feel relaxed while listening to it. Memory Of A Free Festival is just hypnotic.

76-80 Bowie = best Bowie honestly

This album definitely shows improvement on his song writing and the title track is one of his best, but there are only a couple songs on here that interested me. I found most of them just long and boring which is very tough for a David Bowie album.
