have you heard The Code Is Red, Smear Campaign and Time Waits For No Slave? this is very similar grind/death to those albums (if indeed there is any semblance of grind left in Napalm Death but w/e), especially the vocals
not too fond of the first two but Time Waits For No Slave > all of these

My point in general is that a) if you (as in anyone) don't like the new Autopsy you can either man the fuck up or stop listening to death metal, and b) this year is perfectly fine for metal.

yeah I don't want to put my foot in it completely but I think the similarities are uncanny at times even if this is more on the doom side of things. still there were slower parts on those Napalm Death releases that aren't too far off what is happening here

Time Waits For No Slave kind of disappeared from my iTunes library when I restored my iPod and rebuilt it on a different computer, but I don't recall much of it sounding like this at all. Care to post some examples?

Time Waits For No Slave was great if you ask me. anyway i'll keep it out of this thread lest I piss off anybody who is gonna get shitty at me making tenuous and probably not all that significant comparisons between modern Napalm Death and Macabre Eternal cause I got nothing better to do
