this album makes me feel uncomfortable. there's something kind of unnerving about it, but it's also intriguing and kind of addicting. Maybe you'll get the feeling by the end of it. Almost has this tribal/ritualistic vibe in the final stretch, can't put my finger on it.

Was disappointed with this on the first listen tbh, but it grows. Still potentially my least favourite The Microphones release though, but it's also his most ambitious project under that label I think, so i have a significant degree of respect for it. Plus reading through the associated booklet is cool; highlights all the references in the record, and some of the creative decisions he made
