Well when you're ranking a band's discography you can't really leave out any albums. Ok.

I would say you pretty much hit the nail on the head with this, but I don't agree with the rating.

Must be the initial thought of the music that causes the differences in liking vs not liking. So you liked the review? (Not your neg?)

Yeah, you did a great job and it came together well in the conclusion. My problems with this are that it's pretty much the same material they've been writing with random arsis solos thrown in. The lack of progression in the band's gotten pretty tiresome to me, and they are just teasing us with misplaced tech-death solos now.

Maybe so ( I love discussions) but as far as the genre goes i kinda welcome the consistency shown record to record. If you take a look at bands like August Burns Red and see how they lack album to album, you start to see other bands in a greater light. Yes it is the same recipe, but one thats tried and true.

Who said I was ranking their discography? I was merely stating that is wasn't as good as Nocturnal but better than

Deflorate. Good.

Just don't even know if I'd bother downloading this one. It'd be about 2.5 or 2 for me.

To be honest, I hadn't even given august burns red a chance until last night. I just suspected bland metalcore. The sound has dried and shriveled out over the years, but they just won't give up (or so I've heard). Sure, the instrumentals are good, but they aren't progressing at a rate that makes the music any more bearable.

This is exactly how I feel about dahlia. I'm not a fan of the traditional death metal put-out-the-same-record-12-times approach.

I think it all comes down to. To each their own. I'm actually not that big on deathcore.

No featuring this though. But that's okay. It will still get a fair amount of notice.
