"I wish there were [some way] to use rap instead, but more like a glossolalia, a schizoid speaking in tongues, like Lil' Wayne meets Bizzy Bone but more ritual or Kabbalistic."

HHH on where he wants to take his vocals next

Don't really think this is as bad as everyone is making it out to be. It's nothing fantastic whatsoever, but it's not horrible either.

Hipsters gave us Deafheaven, I think they should be allowed to stay.

Gave this album the run through 5 times now, and the riffs are starting to burn a hole into my poor retina's. Hunter-Hunt-Gatherer-Hunt-Hunted-Jimi-Hendrix' voice gets really annoying though.

How does sound burn holes in your retinas? You know retinas are in the eyes right?

Good band, but the singer is such a pretentious dickhead.

Listened to this once and really enjoyed it, but have had no desire to revisit it since then.

Basically the same reaction i had to that Amia Venera Landscape album that came out last year.

Eh this is just repetitive and way too long. Still don't think it's as bad as a lot of people do.

I kind of like agree that there is a fundamental substratum of choas that um is like very destructive and it's also a creative force

i had hopes for this album at first. but after a couple listens... it blows. i had a hard time getting through it in one listen. unnecessarily long and largely boring. also dislike the vocals alot. not sure what to rate this. 1.5- 2 i think.

The video on YT strangely reminiscent of my experience with Apocalypse Now! - a simple idea expressed in forced, graphomaniacal fashion, which undermines the meritorical gist of what is actually being said. The junior freshman, pre-mutation, "deep" pick-up voice tone doesn't help either.

The essence; impressionism - one word could serve as the whole interview.

Also, the symphonic quality of BM would have a strictly mathematical explanation. Nothing esoteric about that. I'm convinced thaere are algorythmical approaches to this (with use of fourier analysis => computer software) that could easily do the job for humans in that examination.

Going to check them out, though - see if the brainfarting results in something that rises above the "Mom, I got into college" era rhetoric.
