BOOOYAH!!!! Damn skippy sure am glad I plunked down some cash for this little bad boy. This is filthy good. If you like melodic death metal, particularly the Scandinavian variety, then you will love this album. Not one bad track. But hey I really enjoyed last releases by Soilwork, Mercenary, and CoB.

Actually, I have never likened Scar Symmetry to typical melodic death metal. They're different than the classic established style, mainly due to extensive use of clean vocals and different riffing patterns.
