Outstanding review, Dev. I prefer Ego / Mirror to this, but this is still a lot of fun to spin, and it's easy to digest.

i think i like this better than ego / mirror. it feels like i have more time to get lost in this one.

At this point, I don't think Burial could release anything bad. He's one of the most consistent artists I've heard in the dubstep genre. I've been digging his debut LP recently, it's honestly just as good as Untrue.

Snipe, not sure if there's been a digital release as such but there's some torrents flying about. I got it off meadiafire. 320kb/s

i find the vocal samples on the self titled a little bit too distracting at times but in general its pretty much of the same quality.

i have a 320kpbs vinyl rip. it sounds awesome but naturally there's some hiss. not enough to bother me though, i was just wondering.

Apparently you don't get my shtick. I know more about this genre than anyone here apart from dev, and I generally like to come over and mock people/start arguments.

It's all done in jest, but you fucking white people can't take a joke.

I wasn't totally being serious, hence the phrasing of my comment

Completely agree with what others said - even the other big guns in dubstep don't come close to connecting with me like Burial does, and these 3 songs are among his best.

Half of that is the vinyl (obviously), the other half is Burial. I mean it's cool and all, but even when he and Kode9 did that mix for Mary Anne Hobbs' final broadcast he had to put that vinyl crackle in. We get it, it's a Burial mix

@2muchket: in response to your arguments about the high ratings, I disagree with the idea that ratings should always be revolved around its place in the genre or the context of its release. I feel artists like Burial are really more for judging the music in and of itself.
