Check out the new Vintersorg Jordpuls, it`s better than the last AA.
IMO Twilight Of The Thunder God is the best AA.

This band and Kataklysm I've heard referred to a lot in the same breath. Which albums should I go for (think I love DT Character/Kalmah Black Watlz) ? Is there a difference? I know even my dad loves Amon Amarth and he thinks my metal is crap compared to his (born 56, loves Zeppelin and onwards)

@Thomas- I'll look into the things you mention and see what I can re-work. But this:

I do get what you mean but the adjectives make the description feel a bit vague, the music's sound a little murky. You don't have to be an A-Class musician or have to spew out a whole dictionary of musical terminology but a bit more specifity would help as it does help you at some points such as here

I'll disagree with. I think going any more in-depth about the styles of the melodies and the nature of the chord progressions (which in and of itself is what many would consider "musically technical") without using more adjectives would involve saying things that may be too musically technical for a reader who has never picked up a guitar before, and delving into the nitty-gritty of every single component of the album will make me sound like I'm rambling and will certainly lose the short attention span of 90% of readers. For a band that has more nuance to their sound it is probably worth doing, but not for a cut-and-dry band like Amon Amarth. Reviewing is a delicate balance between specificity and more general descriptions.

EDIT- But I did add a bit to the third paragraph to give it more substance.
