A lonely piece of action from another town

I just want to be free, I'm happy to be lonely

This album is among my favourite music

True gem

Perfectly lovely album but with a criminal misuse of synthesizer which is admittedly a huge pet peeve

of mine.

Can't say it bothers me.

It's a huge issue I have with late 70's early 80's music in general. It just sounds so bad to me. Like bell bottoms or Big hair... just a really bad fad.

The uses of 'modern' synthesizers rather than vintage Moog and Mellotron (as seen for sympho prog) is typical of Neo Prog, my friend. Welcome to the realm of the 80's keys and gadgets.

Yep, Marillion are the kings of Neo Prog. Here's another notable band in the genre. Have you ever heard of them?

Mostly Autumn also come to mind, a must for most of Pink Floyd lovers.

Didn't knew them

The IQ instrumental stuff sounds just like Marillion, but to be honest I didn't find the vocals 5/5...but this is a live performance so...

The dress code is hilarious

However I really liked this song from Mostly Autumn.

Epic track

Yeah also if they were skin head it would have improve their look a lot haha.

And you're right on the Marillion' comparison. I'm not a fan of IQ, but they have couple of great songs here or there. As for Mostly Autumn, they can't do wrong, really.

Let me start by saying I despised this album. It seemed fine and dandy, but I think these guys were just Genesis rip-offs. Don't take this personally, but your review does little to justify listening to this record. Have a neg.

Script is also very good. Chelsea Monday is probably my favourite Marillion song but Misplaced Childhood is their most solid work imo.

However all their albums with Fish are great.

Don't miss this one.

I loved this back in the day but with the passage of time i think CAS is a better album. I prefer its downbeat tone to MC's manipulative lyrics; and wasn't Fish too old to be writing that kind of sentimental tosh?
