ANYBODY BUT ME GLAD TO SEE THESE GUYS BACK?! I have been a long-time fan since their debut and listening to them brings back so much memories. His whispering voice is so nostalgic. Another cool note: these guys live pretty close to me!

I agree with everything you state BrushedRed... Except the part about them living close to you.

This is surprisingly good.
Like, really, surprisingly good. Def better than True Parallels. That was basically a not as good copy of the first one.

Need to check. Love their first album. Second album sucks.

The slower acoustic tracks kinda suck but the bangers bang.

For me, this actually felt like them progressing as a band instead of trying to do a 2nd attempt at recreating the first album again
Not too shabby, fellas

I agree, although I still think their debut reigns supreme.

Same, but if they have another album in them, and they could keep up this momentum here, they might be able to come up with something on par with it

With how long it's been since this dropped I have little faith that a new album will ever come, not saying I wouldn't be glad if one did.

True, but a band I loved in high school (and still listen to now) just put out another album Friday, and it's been 17 years since their last release, so you never know

I personaly think they did change quite a bit on this album, into more of an emo sound as opposed to straight up nu-metal. Something in it makes me think they had been listening to a lot of Underoath, as songs like "Almost There" and the title track sound like they could've been on They're Only Chasing Safety. Especially in the choruses.
I like this album a lot. "Reverse and Remember" in particular is awesome. Their debut will always be their best work though, in my opinion.

One of those bands with an instantly recognizable sound .. a great example of the alt rock nu metal scenes of early the 2000s
