Rain Song and Over the Hills are two of the best songs ever from ANY band. The rest of the songs on the album however range from straight up crappy to pretty good. Hence the 3.5. II and III just seem so much more consistant

Awesome album, but I could never understand WTF they were thinking with "The Crunge"! Easily a 4.5 if not for that song.

This is my favorite Zeppelin album. I don't really dislike The Crunge that much, and while I do agree it's the weakest song on here, I don't think it really detracts from the album that much. The first three songs are probably the strongest opening songs in any album though.

Just what I needed in the morning: a nice front page reminder that I used to like Led Zeppelin.

I have never understood why people feel the need to bash 'Battle of Evermore.' I think it is a wonderful part of Zeppelin's acoustic work! Good review though.

^Battle of Evermore rules. If The Crunge and D'yer Mak'er weren't kinda meh this would deserve a 4.5.

But it has No Quarter. Oh my, how good that is.

No Quarter and The Rain Song rule so hard it's ridiculous.
