yeah it's good and i've listened to it a few times but in [as little as] a year or two down the line, if i fancy listening to something in this vein, it's unlikely that yuck are gonna be my go-to band

one would assume they'd already have released a follow-up...

Not as "revolutionary" as you say, but cool review.

Yeah, the cover is terrible, one might say it's 'yuck' *giggle
Hopefully with their next release; the artwork improves.

love this album. i'm friends with the drummer, jonny rogoff. he dropped out of college and risked a whole lot when he left for england to be in this band. real glad it's being so well received.

^ It's a good album, no reason it shouldn't be.
"i hate the cover though"
It's distinctive and you know it immediately which in part is it's purpose.
|

That's true but it could be less crass.

Could be but it isn't
Some of us are not offended quite so easily and we tend to not think about those of you who are as much as we should.
On the other hand were we to always take the more sensitive individuals into consideration our art would not be as good in out own eyes.
It's a conundrum.

No, I wasn't offended, it's just, for me; not a beautiful piece of art, nor does it contribute anything to the stylistics or merit of the band. It just looks kinda stupid.

band's name is Yuck--album art makes you feel a little uneasy and queasy, no? Furthermore it hearkens back to 80s-90s indie-rock where covers in this vein were commonplace.
annnddd it tends to shoo away (or is at least an implied meaning of) those who stuff all their musical stock in perceived aesthetics and an artist's attractiveness.
btw I like the album art : )
|
| |
Probably totally correct yeah. I just don't like it very much. =P

Opinions, ya know? ; )
either way I figured I'd give these peeps a little more credit. Even though the chances of stylistic undertones in the cover art are about as plausible as the "we-got-wasted-and-laughed-at-it" scenario.
