Because I love Kid A?

Idk I rarely go for music based on the specific mood that it gives off.

it's kinda weird, if it's not prog it's definitely what you described

"Should I jam dis again? :x"

yes

i suppose parts of it can still be listened to in a different environment, particularly the nightmarish "Alife" and the deep cloak of "Sea Song" but for me this has always felt like spring/summer. nothing beats riding a bike through some fancy meadows with the hot sun rays illuminating everything with their juicy yellowness as the "Little Red..." drums finally end their march to let Ivor Cutler recite his beautiful nonsense over his whimsy harmonium. top 5 best experience. you just don't get that with the snow everywhere

also imo this has little to nothing to do with prog.

Man this is almost too good to be lumped in with other prog

As creative and out there as Zappa without exaggeration

it's a canterbury scene album which is a subgenre of prog. try again

considering canterbury has roots in jazz/jazz fusion, i often pair it with those genres rather than prog

nice try though

It’s almost like genres are completely made up and arbitrary!

"Canterbury scene

Stylistic origins:

Progressive rock, psychedelia, avant-garde, jazz"

Make sense since this album is totally psychedelic jazz prog

Most categorizations that are outside of science you mean?

*inb4 everyone reads "most" as "all" and starts naming the exceptions*
