Secondly, the production on this is perfect, every instrumental is audible, you can hear every slight, subtle chord change and it even has some nice depth to it.

I didn't say it was post-rock, I said the nature in which it built into something more climactic could be compared to the dynamics of a post-rock band
I can understand your disapproval with the review due to my lack of familiarity with black metal, but I don't think my opinion of the album is as ill-informed as you're making it out.

the drumming drowns out the melodic side of the music, the guitars are often indistinguishable, the vocals are done pretty well yet still work more as a sort of strained reverberation over the music. Perhaps we have different standards?
My other points were pretty factual too but whatever.
intricate is subjective. there's factually no climaxes on the record either?
