Excuse me for the double post but I feel bamboozled right now... How on earth is this rated at 3.2??? I'm gonna listen to the remaster now in order to determine which one I like more, but the original mix/master is so awesome I can't understand how this is so hated

It could perfectly grow on my up to a 5 soon and become my favourite Mayhem for sure. Closest thing I've heard to this is Drottnar Werlterwerk, which is another weird black metal masterpiece.
Edit: I think I'm going to stick to the original mix because it feels more accurate for the type of sound I think Mayhem intended here. The remix sounds great but it's a production more akin to Vader type of sound.

This is second for me behind Ordo Ad Choa...the remaster is cool yeah, but the original has a certain charm for sure.
