I prefer Aaron's drumming, even though there's nothing wrong with the new guys. But really, the main thing is that the album doesn't GO anywhere. It's just a bunch of songs, none of them maintaining or releasing tension.

For me, every album of theirs have those few songs with hooks galore that I could sing/scream along with in the car and were just so damn catchy. Haven't found really any on this yet.

Hopefully it'll grow on me, but In Completion doesn't do anything much for me. It's just a track at the end.

I'm not really a huge UO fan, I actually really only love DTGL and LITSOS, which are both 4's. This is sounding like another 4 so far, making this an extremely solid band, not a mindblowing one.
Worth it just for amazing vocals though.

Those are the only two I listen to as well, but LITSOS is a 5 and DTGL is a 4/4.5. Spencer's harsh vocals are beastly.

SO beastly. I can't see giving either a 5 but especially not LITSOS over DTGL. Just me though. I can see this growing on me a lot though. Might be a 4.5 once I'm more familiar with the songs.

Actually, I think his screams are weaker than in the past. Everything is a step down. It's still fucking solid as, but just a step down which is disappointing.

Nah the cleans on this are so awesome. And his screaming still feels like being punched in the stomach so I'm happy. Drumming is intense as hell, guitars are Underoath-y, this is working for me.
