Tidbit of unofficial news that just got posted on the 'vool forums:
Just went for a walk to the post office to pick up a missed letter that had tried to be delivered but I wasn't home... it was my tickets for June 27th!! On a high and needing something new to listen to I went to Rare Records across the road here in St Kilda and bought myself Rook's latest EP... while I was there I asked the guy if he'd heard Sound Awake yet and yeah he sure has. Reckons he heard it about 7 months ago, and only just recently heard the finished product.
He couldn't tell me much, but said it will absolutely blow me away. He said not to expect it to be like SFTTH and apparently Change pt.2 was the hardest part of the whole album for them. It wasn't even finished writing when they entered the studios but he said it is incredible.. "it really does change" is what he said about it. It's also an epic ~12 mins long.
So yeah I had to pre-order.. said they might even have it available for pick-up on the 4th... and it comes with something special for the first 100 orders, but he couldn't tell me what. He claimed he didn't even know what it was but suggested it could be a signed poster or promo CD or DVD.
He told me they're also releasing something else soon but couldn't tell me what... I asked if it was the long awaited DVD and he said no, better. Only clue was that it was something live... so umm yeah I've got no idea. But here's hoping we get more new Karnivool material soon!
Its all starting to come along nicely now.
Oh and, we should be getting tracklist/artwork in the next week or so.

Just got round to giving the songs on their myspace a listen. I'm very very impressed considering they are from Aus. I'm gonna try and get this album soon, and if I'm impressed I'll definitley end up with the new one. (New single rocks).

"I'm very very impressed considering they are from Aus."
Considering they're from Australia? The fuck is that supposed to mean.
|
| |
it means he hasn't bothered with listening to good australian music and has a prejudice view on it as a whole.

Well Aus produces so much shit, and it's hard to find the good stuff.
