Not as bad as some. Remember these?
"Come here you naughty girl you're such a tease
You look so beautiful down on your knees
Keep on those high heel shoes rip off all your clothes
You smell so fucking good it makes me lose control!"
yeah dude but thats like eating shit and going "hey , at least this isn't laced with arsenic" when the reality is you're still eating shit

good review, except for the fact that you couldn't possibly be more wrong. any fan of sevenfold should realize that this is an amazing album, and anyone who hates the band shouldn't even be posting on these forums in the first place. anyone who says this album lacks emotion or power, such as in "Fiction" is on drugs. Being a fan of the band since their debut, this song brought tears to my eyes. From start to finish, Nightmare is an exceptional album that surpasses anything the band has ever done in the past. And before you post a review, maybe you should check your spelling. Victim, (or as you put it, "Victims") is one of the superior tracks on the disc, and you not even spelling it correctly suggests that you didn't put much thought into your review. But what can you expect? I mean the band's best friend/key band member just died before their eyes, yet they still have the ability to throw out an exceptional album, AND tour for the remainder of the year. If you want to bash them for the music they put out, go ahead. But anyone who truly loves this band will support them regardless. FoREVer.

"Welcome to The Family" is possibly my favorite track. Maybe.
Also, beginning to wonder if my rating will drop to 3.5. The first listen was fantastic. Second was lots of fun. Doubt set in on the third. Will adjust after another couple spins if necessary. [/just my process]

"Fiction" is another song fighting for my favorite status.
|
| |
i think it IS my favorite status.
the best part imo is when he's all "let it BURRRRRRRRRRRN!" because i've always liked his vocal style when he does that

Oh, man, that part is what really got me in that chorus. That whole song has really chilling moments, thanks to the context, and I think that the chorus was among the most haunting.

I keep switching back and forth between a 3 and 3.5 for this.
But I just gave the self-titled another listen and realized that i'm wholly satisfied with this release after that shitstorm. Thankfully Nightmare and Buried Alive are the worst songs.

I liked that one. It seems fillerish to me but it's solid filler. Nightmare and Buried Alive are cringe-worthy.
At least there's no song as godawful as Scream.
|
| |
the guitars sound black holed sun-ish and the vocals sound audioslave-ish.... I can't get into it much.
save me is really really good too
|
| |
scream is fucking terrible
