Still, I got into Diamond Head before I even heard Metallica. Then I heard the covers and listened to the other two albums. Diamond Head beats Metallica.

Been meaning to check out other NWOBHM stuff, namely Grim Reaper, Saxon and Witchfinder General. It seems Maiden were the only band to emerge from the NWOBHM era hugely popular
