It may be blasphemy, but I prefer this version of Supper's Ready to every live version I've heard with PG. The energy is immense, and Collins absolutely nails the vocals.

I've always asked myself on which version is better and I agree with your comment beefshoes, but I've also heard some bootlegs from Gabriel era, and they really rivalize with that actual version, mostly in term of power and energy.

For me, Supper's Ready without Gabriel just isn't right. I mean the version on here is excellent but I could never say it rivals the original studio version.

Guitar is naturally low in the mix for that particular song. It's not in the forefront in the studio version all the same. But overall, I would like to hear the guitar a bit higher myself, but in Genesis, keyboards have always been predominant.

you can hear hackett trying his best to do interesting things with the guitar on that track but its so fkn low you cant hear it... throughout the whole album the mix is just too quiet imo even the bass is wayyyyy louder

The trick of the tail abd wind and wuthering material on here is great, but i never feel like collins can do the gabriel era material justice. He just doesn’t seem to be able to project the personality that peter gabriel gave those songs.
