Only heard a handful of their solo works. Point of Departure is ridiculous, though.

yeah thats definitely one of my favs. hills got a string of about 5 or 6 amazing albums round then. everyone had that early-mid 60s blue note phase it seems, pumping out ridiculous stuff.

well it was post-heroin, pre-lsd for the jazz world... odd times. you can tell when they hit lsd though (this album, etc)

Yeah, that is interesting. I wasn't exactly sure the timing of all that stuff, but really looking at it, you can definitely see some impact on the music.

when the drums suddenly break out like 12 or 13 or someting minutes into the second track i cum every time its pretty debilitating
