This shit is dank as fuck. Seriously, I haven't listened to anything else in the last three days dude, it's crazy, definitely a 4 for now, but probably will end up being a 4.5 by the end of the day

ya i really like this. im the first to admit im not exactly a hip-hop connoisseur (my collection covers the sputnik approved classics, i.e. madvillain, deltron, gza, etc.) but ive been listening to this loads.

I love the use of synthesizers and the really interesting samples and what not. You could easily call this music psychedelic or electronic, along with hip hop.

No worries Kirgasm, for this would now be "sputnik approved", apparently!

"Run" is absolutely amazing. Seriously, the only reason I got this was because I need to listen to hip-hop for a musicology assignment, and well I'm just so glad I did.

The rapping is kind of awkward at certain moments. But for the most part they're awesome.

it's right behind Diamond Eyes and just ahead of High Violet and OMNI for me right now. So... unexpectedly #2 of the year so far para yo.

I dunno... there aren't many alt-metal albums I'd choose over Diamond Eyes, and the ones that I like more are probably all 5's haha. But there's a lot of underground hip hop that I like more than this, just not any so far this year (there were a couple last year that I thought were at least on par, if not better than this -- like Never Better, Plastique and The Original 11:11 Sessions while 2008 had Doomtree and Rebel Yellow).
This is really, really good though.

yeah, Never Better was early Febuary last year -- it does seem like forever ago. Defender, Primor, Little to No Concern or Instructions to Numb could all be up there for song of the year though, for sure. which songs you talkin?

I love the weird fucking vocal samples. Like the computers bit in E.R. or the violent kid at the end of Run.
The first half has a lot more memorable songs.
edit: Though I have to admit, I fucking hate the guy who makes the "Bitches Ain't Shit" reference in Primor.
