Eh, if he doesn't like it, he doesn't like it. I'm not here to force Alter Bridge on anyone. I suppose I should let my review speak for itself.

Hey, come on, better stop this nonsense here. The two of you are right in your own perspectives. If
I am to be subjective I'd say metalcore sucks and Alter Bridge rocks. But I'm not here to discuss
musical tastes, that would be a waste of time.
But I would like to underline that if the vocals are subjective, the technique of the band isn't.
You can't say it sucks or that is weak - it is not and if you know something about music, you will
admit that. What you can say is that you don't like this certain type of music, that's an opinion, and
nobody's here to flame ya for that. It's the exact same thing with me and Death, Black, Trash and
Metalcore: I don't like it. In fact, I hate it. But I'll be damned if for one second I say some of
that guys aren't tallented.

Yeah we're done with the debate, it wasn't going anywhere, at the end of the day it does come down to how much you personally enjoy it, you can't force anybody to enjoy or not to enjoy something. The soundoff was what pissed me off, but it's a moot point now.
I don't wanna go around sputnik with White Knuckles looking to fight, telling people to Open Your Eyes. It just shows how you have to Watch Your Words when you speak.

Haha :P
Hey, tou didn't mention songs like One By One. Any special reason ?

Dude, I love almost every song on this album, you have no idea how hard it was to leave out some tracks in my review. The review was long enough, so I figured the ones I highlighted best represented the album, if I went into every track it would've been like a 5-page track by track review.
But I like One By One, it was one of the ones that took longest to grow on me on the album, I think it was because I wanted it to be heavier or have a solo at first, but that intro riff is great, and now I really love Kennedy's vocals in that track.

Yeah, all the songs in Blackbird are pretty amazing, One By One is no exception (: I'm literally addicted to Before Tomorow Comes, Coming Home and Buried Alive now xD

Have you heard the bonus track, We Don't Care At All? It's good too.
| | | Album Rating: 4.0
I should listen to this again.

Yes you should.
| | | Album Rating: 3.5 | Sound Off
I did, but I didn't care at all. I mean, I didn't that much attention. I should listen to it again.

Enjoyable album. I remember thinking "Blackbird" being the most epic song i've ever heard. Still pretty good though

The version I have has it as a bonus track, I think it fits as an ending just as well as Wayward One,
even though it's another heavy track. I never skip it. And hey, one more Tremonti solo.

Wayward One, that was one of the songs that really called my attention at the first time, especially the chorus, the vocals really caugh me:
"Take them back to the start
Let the purest of heart
know their worth is still spoken"
I think that part is really amazing, the lyrics, the vocals, the melody, everything's great.
LOL, Yeah, the little clinch xD Serioulsy, it didn't call my attention at all, maybe I was just not into, but there are those times that you're just not into, so maybe I'll try again later.
There is also the song "The Damage Done". I didn't spend much time on it, but a friend of mine (and fan of AB) told me it's good. Have you heard it ?
| | | Album Rating: 5.0 | Sound Off
I mean, it wouldn't be one of the best songs on the album, but hearing it last works really well.
And yeah, I've heard both the other bonus tracks, neither of them stood out that much to me.

Finally got round to listening to this, and it's good. Blackbird is epic

^Nice. That it is.

Blackbird is the best song of this album , it's just a beautifull song. Rise Today anoys me because it's very commercial...
| | | Album Rating: 5.0 | Sound Off
It's commercial, yeah, but I still love it. Vocals are still great, the chorus is simple but still memorable, the southern-ish guitar in the bridge is cool, and the ending solo is awesome. It rocks pretty good for a radio single.
Still wish they would've put out Ties That Bind as the first single though. It was only released as one in Europe. (And they're popular in Europe! Coincidence?) I mean they didn't want the Creed stigma to follow them around, this was their perfect chance to get rid of that! Rise Today is good, but it doesn't represent the album as a whole, I wish they'd released heavier singles rather than only releasing the poppy tracks.
| | | Album Rating: 3.5 | Sound Off
It's good, no doubt, but I'm kinda tired of it xD
But you're absolutely right, the vocals are great, so is the instrumental.
Yeah, I think they are popular here around, especially in UK
| | | Album Rating: 5.0 | Sound Off
I just never heard it on radio or anything so I'm not sick of it, I just found out it was a single when I got into them (although I would've guessed it was a single anyway).
Yeah, it's a shame they aren't more popular around here, it's partly just because their slightly "old-school" style of heavy rock isn't as marketable nowadays.
