OK, first let me say, love the new CD and have been waiting for it for so long... Almost as long as I have waited to see them live (live in the U.S.)...

Secondly, I have to say I like Dream Days as well, as to me, it's a perfect companion to Bernard's Tea & Sympathy.

I find myself listening to more and more music coming from Australia. If anyone had some suggestions of other fingeresque music, please let me know!!!

Check out:

Paul Dempsey

Something For Kate

Pete Murray

Karnivool

This is a very basic list, once the other guys come on you're going to get a shitload more. Do you mind things outside of "fingeresque" like metal and hard rock? perhaps a bit of rap?

Hell yeah, bring it on! I been listening to anything from the eels, the wood brothers to the roots... That help?

Great review, btw!!!

Awesome.

Oh, thanks mate.

Ok.

Also try:

Mammal (hard rock infused with rap)

The Butterfly Effect (rock/hard rock)

Lisa Mitchell (she's classified as pop, but very quirky and original)

Eleventh He Reaches London (post hardcore)

Calling All Cars (rock/hard rock)

Paperprophets (indie pop)

Parkway Drive (metalcore/hardcore)

Bluejuice (alt. rock)

Sydonia (metal/rock)

Dead Letter Circus (rock)

that should be enough to get you started, I've missed a decent amount of pop just cause I haven't gotten around to listening to anything much past I Heart Hiroshima and they're good, but they get boring rather quickly.

Atavanhalen is the guy to talk for pop stuff.

Oh, right, darn.

Also check out Carus, he's folk.

lol, we won't hate on you for that.

Maybe if you liked Short Stack or The Galvatrons (two of the worst Australian bands of the past decade) but you most probably don't, so we like you ;D

Since I'm sharing and all... I just saw this:

Ignore that list.

Better yet, destroy it.

AC/DC aren't that good. Sure they're classics, but really, there are better bands than them out there.

I'm very surprised to see Little River Band there.

Jet and Wolfmother shouldn't be anywhere near the top 10.

AND THAT'S JUST THE TOP 10!

I don't even want to try and tear apart the rest of it.

Oh, yeah, and JBT, but there's just so many shitty bands on that list. I would not have been surprised if he'd put Short Stack on there.
