I'm honestly quite confused why some people dislike this album so much. Recycled Ideas? Sure, but it's not as if they copied a single band's sound to the letter (Airbourne, anyone?), rather, they are attempting to reinvigorate a genre. Just about every song on this album is a blast to listen to, and every second, I want to turn my speakers up to full volume. So instead of bashing the band for intentionally showing its influences, try to look at the vastly positive sides of their music, and enjoy Wolfmother's music as it should be.

Y'know, I've always thought of Cream and the Guess Who more than I've thought of Zeppelin when it comes to Wolfmother

And no, New Moon Rising isn't one of the best. It's one of the worst on the album: Overdone and overloaded with hooks. They tried too hard and failed. But goddamn, California Queen is one hell of a good song. The rest of the album is fantastic as well.

No, dude, really? I'm sure you're just one of the sheep who think they sound like Led Zeppelin, just cause they incorporate solos into their songs and because Andrew Stockdale sings in a higher key (SIMILAR TO ROBERT PLANT?! OHHH NO!)

Maybe, because of that, and that they are bass heavy means that they are trying to copy Queens of the Stone Age. Maybe even Rush? AC/DC? ENDLESS possibilities!

All of my last reviews have been from 2009 =(. I don't what to tell you sir. Every time I get a chance to review something recent, that is known is reviewed by staff or contributor...so no reason to review it. Its unfortunate I know, you miss my eclectic style of music reviews lol.
