I dont think this is as good as Powerslave or Somewhere In Time, but when I say that I still mean that this album is practically flawless. Hearing "Hallowed Be Thy Name" live (twice, in fact) has made my life.

I used to think the same, Powerslave and SiT were my favorite Maiden albums (though I still only own 4, I really need more) but I listened to all three of them tonigt and I think this may be my favorite. This has the most highlights, but has a little "filler" (but good filler I might add) while Powerslave has 4 classic songs which makes most of the middle pale in comparison. SiT is the most consistant imo but doesn't have as many standout tracks (though the title track and Alexander the Great are definately my favorites.)

Hallowed Be Thy Name is perfect.

I'm more into punk but I must admit Iron Maiden is bad a**. "Hallowed Be Thy Name" is one of the most bad a** song I have ever heard. The story telling is amazing and it has a cool title (I have thing for cool song titles). "The Trooper" from Piece Of Mind is pretty good too.

"Tears fall but why am I crying?/After all I'm not afraid of dying!"

Love this album to death. I'd say there are 5 or 6 songs on the album that I'd say are absolute classics. That is brilliant for a song with only 9 tracks.
