For some reason, while I've been enjoying this CD on the whole, I cringe whenever the vocalist does the lyrics "I was born in 67', the year of Sargent Pepper" it just seems so lame to me. Hardly an actual point but I find it a comical lyric.

Also this is my first exposure to this band. What would be their 'magnum opus' for me to grab next?

@hykinix, I agree with your comment about the opening line to "Time Flies", that line makes me cringe too.....it is pretty cheesy...
I would suggest for your next listen, Fear of a Blank Planet....It's their best work IMHO.

Any of their last three albums would be a good 2nd PT album, check 'em out.

their best record is In Absentia by a resounding longshot. After that, I absolutely love Sky Moves Sideways, which is particularly difficult for me to listen to as I have not-so-fond memories puking my brains out to it.

Come closer, wizard, let me thank you for that clever joke...
Haha. But you're kinda right.
Hahaha thanks dude. I love my fictitious facts about Canada that I spread on this site.

Cringe because you're 13?

Second disk is good except for the last track
The Last track is the only one that really stands out to me on the second disc.

Second disc is great throughout.
"Time Flies" is the best song to come out of 2009.

I'm in Canada, and this album was sold out at the three stores I went to.
I couldn't believe that I had to wait another day to get this, but luckily one store got a shipment the next day.

No, cringe because it's a lame lyric in every sense.
And I'm significantly older than thirteen, your presumptions are hilarious.

That's the point : ). I would just do a tad bit more research before claiming his lyrics are cheesy.

What on earth do you mean 'do more research?' I know what Sargeant Pepper is, if that's what you mean...
I didn't like the lyric, what does that have to do with research?

It's a lyric that fits into the whole concept. I mean, picking individual lyrics out of a story and calling them cheesy is kind of like trying to start a petty argument.

The song is trying to capture a moment in Steve Wilson's life and himself reflecting back on it using nostalgia.

Try the last half of the album. The first part didn't click with me until I hit the song "Time Flies".
