REVIEW IS WRONG.
I liked this on first listen! Then again, it still could improve on subsequent listens I guess. So I take back my "REVIEW IS WRONG" comment... for now! Haha.
Totally agree that this is their most consistent album Trey... & it's probably their best also. This was a real surprise for me. I'm neither a fan or a hater of The Used and this has caught my interest. In fact, the line of your review which summed it up was: "Subtlety has never been a huge part of The Used’s sound, but it is an integral part of this album."

Definately an improvment from Lies for the Liers...don't want to argue with anyone but that album was horrible. This album gives me hope for them in the future.

It's totally different but the way you explained it made me understand why now. Cool. So, it's not just me than.
I love the random shuffling of this album on the home page features. Did it get shifted around a lot this weekend?

Did it get shifted around a lot this weekend?
It was 2nd, then 3rd, then 4th, then 2nd, then gone, then 1st.
Or something along those lines. It's entertaining.

I agree with everyone saying it takes about 2 listins to get into it, I love the Used. They are my fave band but the first listen disapointed me but now, I always have it playing. Its a classic in my eyes.

Its a classic in my eyes. This is definitely their strongest album, but I have a hard time with believing it could ever be a "5".loving daisy to no end at the moment. It's not the direction I wanted Brand New to take, but I think I could learn to appreciate it.

Waior's easily entertained look a blue car!
Ooooohhh.
But, I am actually going to get this even though I've never liked too much of what The Used do. Worth a try.

"I can't believe I'm saying this but...
The Used's Artwork >>>>>>>>>>>>> Brand New's Daisy. There, I said it."
I can't believe you said that either.

That might end up being true for a lot of people. I'm enjoying this more than the new Brand New album (so far).

I dunno, there's some catchy stuff on here, but Daisy kicks so much ass..
I'm a big fan of The Used's self-titled though.

I wanted an album full of "Jesus", so it might take me a little time to warm up to what they delivered instead.

Yea, I'm sure there's many that feel that way. Quite a surprising change of direction, that's for sure.

I can't believe I'm saying this too but this is a good record. Brand New's Daisy it's barely average
(when it comes to Brand New). I'd rate this with a 4.5 and Brand New with a 3.

They cut the spoken word before "On the Cross" in the retail copy.
|
| |
To be honest... in comparison to their other albums I don't see the appeal of this one YET. I'll get used to it.
|

I'm giving this a try because of your review.
