@ davey I don't know what targets aren't hit here, other than perhaps "Go Get Your Gun".

Was definately a grower. I basically enjoy it throughout though.

The Tank, The Poison Woman and This Beautiful Life are some incredible tracks.

Very enjoyable and playful, this album.

This would be close to perfect if it weren't for go get your gun.

Revisiting this today. Some of the songs are really much better than I remember, and I particularly like This Beautiful Life, What It Means to Be Alone, and The Thief.

I still feel like it's held back by songs like Go Get Your Gun and The Poison Woman (which isn't terrible, but way too cheesy to be taken seriously).

One of these days, you will learn to love again... Life And Death, amazing song and album.

Mustard Gas.... God damn.

I'm still amazed at Casey Crescenzo's writing ability, especially since he has no formal training on any instrument. Even with over a decade of experience and music theory training I still can't write as well as Casey.

Yeah fuck that song.

I really love The Thief, Mustard Gas, and In a Cauda Venenum. The second half of the album definitely feels a lot weaker as a whole though.

Idk, I still feel this album holds together just as well as Act II in the second half. He Said He Had a Story and Son/Father are great.

After "Saved" nothing really stands out to me at all. If the second half were as good as the first half this would probably be my favorite of their albums.

If you want to understand the story more, check out that link. Really makes the music that much deeper.

had my itunes library on shuffle and this song came on from this album (don't remember which song) and it sounded SO whiny and emoy and his voice was just... horrible. what the hell happened to him after act 1? anyways at least he got his voice back to maturity for the color spectrum.
