I haven't properly listened to all their power pop albums but their cover of Working Class Hero sucks

most of everything that isn't this, Holy Bible or Generation Terrorists is trash. Send Away the Tigers is ok

Just watched the two documentaries on this album. I need to know if official acoustic versions of every song on this album exists. Nicky's acoustic rendition of Marlon JD was very beautiful too, despite his obvious vocal limitations

I love how much more audible the bass guitar is on the vinyl for this. Not that it isn't present to some extent on the original, but the Holy Bible vibes become that much stronger

Shocked by how solid this is, might be my favourite Manics.

It’s definitely up there with their best. Virginia State Epileptic Colony is my fav on here along with William’s Last Words

I know this comment is 6 years old, but Everything Must Go and Gold Against the Soul are great too

yeah I was a bit harsh on these lads back in the day. Tigers through Futurology was a genuinely solid late career resurgence with this being so much better than it had any right to be

the reissue of KYE that breaks it up into two albums is surprisingly great too
