Definitely a solid album. Might be a 3.5 with further listens.
I honestly have to wonder if we're listening to the same album when someone says Ferro sounds awful in any way.

I heard Spellbound the other day, and I can't say that I was moved in any way, shape, or form.

This is getting closer to a 3.5. The only song I don't like at all is "I Like It" (ironic), and on the subject of LP similarities, only the intro to "Not Afraid" reminded me of them at all.

"only instead of a rapper Lacuna Coil have Cristina Scabbia and instead of a whiney emo-boy they have a tone-deaf Italian."

amazing. Somehow I think you're meaning the opposite ;)Album's pretty good, better than 2.8 anyway True, but there are quite a few "reactionary" memebers here.

haha tone-deaf Italian is one of the best new expressions I have heard in a loooooong while. And I agree, while not anything mindblowing the average rating for this should at least be about 3.

Hopefully it'll be higher after more people rate it.
The real problem is that Karmacode has a higher average rating.

That is an issue. This album is easily better than that one.

The first three songs on Karmacode are great, but then the album just turns to shit.

Hey, Closer is good too.

Oh yeah, I can't forget their Depeche Mode cover. Closer is ok as are most of the other songs, but they're just not something I'd listen to all the time.

bleh this album. Good catchy sound but the Don Gilmore approach is a tad worn out.

The band have an issue with being just behind the popularity curve. Nu-Metal as it's dying and now the slick mainstream metal sound as it's fading back a little too.
