I'm way behind when it comes to video gaming... I'm still on the PS2. Then again, I pretty much only play Guitar Hero 3 nowadays.

Nah man got Resident Evil 5 for £15.00 cheaper on Play.com than you can in the shop.

awesome, how is resi evil 5? Been meaning to get it at some point.
|
| |
Really really good, definitley worth getting and without a doubt gonna be in my top games of the year.

Awesome stuff, 4 was excellent and I didn't think 5 would be much worse.
|

4 is near enough one of my favourite games ever I think. This one's pretty awesome too.

for a second there I thought you were talking about this album lol

Other than "Change or Die" and "I Almost Told You That I Loved You", this album was so generic that it was painful to listen to.

but if it was only generic than you could raise you rating to about 2

At the start I was looking at a 2 but that rating kept slipping as I listened to painfully mediocre song after painfully mediocre song...This Message Edited On 03.25.09

well yeh i guess you are right. i think that this is not that bad though, there is much worse music than this. It's mediocre for me, since I actually like some of the songs on here, like "State Of Emergency", "Into The light" (although I know that it sucks, its still a guilty pleasure of mine) and the riff in "I Almost Told You That I Loved You" is pretty catchy. Oh and "Change Or Die" is pretty ok too.

Lucidity & MetalStyles, you 2 pretty much sum up different thoughts I had while listening to this album as many times as I did. My rating ranged between a 1.5 & 2.5 at various times, so a 2 is where I ended up landing.
The thing is that the album's middle section of mediocre song after mediocre song kills it. And it is made worse because they are all so similar (apart from 'Into The Light' which definitely is not that good).
The only thing I'd recommend Lucidity is giving the final 2 songs a few more listens in isolation from the rest of the album. They aren't too bad and suffer because they are placed behind all the insomnia cures that come before them.

Hey Davey, your not going to be reviewing a whole load more Papa Roach now are you? Because I just don't know if I could take that.

Haha. For you Ross, I'll totally change my plans!
Nah, that was never going to happen. I may get to the other 4 albums some time in the future, although I might just give them another listen or two each to confirm what ratings they should get.
Nope, next up for me, I need to finish another discography I'm half-way through.

Can honestly say having listened to this in full I was not disappointed, mainly because I was not expecting much to begin with.

Infest was a killer albu,, but I've heard Hollywood Whore and it's just...no. Wouldn't buy it anyway, on account of the terrible album cover

Oh boy, you're way out there on your own with that opinion JE34... Look, even the ratings graph says so!
Good point that a listeners expectations coming in would play a part in the rating of this album Conor. I expected it to be better myself as I liked 'The Paramour Sessions', but if someone didn't, then I guess the quality of this is exactly what they would have expected.

Crazy.
I planned on writing a review for this at some point, but I just haven't felt like it yet.

Well, if you do end up writing that review, I will be an interested reader. As per the ratings graph, I wouldn't expect a pleasant reception to your review, but if you back up your thoughts well enough, then I'm sure it will be just fine. At the very least, write a Sound-Off so that people can see a brief alternate view of this album.
